Who Needs a PR Medical Check Up?

Permanent Residency allows eligible foreign professionals and their families to live and work in Singapore on a long-term basis. Upon receiving your In-Principle Approval (IPA), a PR medical check up is required by the ICA for the primary applicant, spouses, and dependant children.

01 Should I make an appointment for PR medical check up?
You can walk in for a PR medical check up without an appointment, though waiting times may vary depending on the crowd. Typically, the wait is around 10 minutes. We have slots available during our operating hours: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays and 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. Save time by booking a prepaid appointment through WhatsApp at 8779 9898 for further instructions.
02 How do I check my PR medical check up report status?
To check the status of your PR medical check up report or to request a soft copy, please contact us via WhatsApp at 8673 7999, from the collection date and time indicated on your receipt.
03 How long does it take to get PR medical check up results?
Standard PR medical reports are ready by 4 PM the following working day. Same-day reports are available if you visit before 9 AM on weekdays, with an additional fee. Please refer to your receipt for the exact collection date. For added convenience, you can also receive your PR medical report via Email or WhatsApp.
04 Can someone else collect my PR medical report on my behalf?
Yes, someone can collect your PR medical report on your behalf during our opening hours. To complete the collection, they must present a soft copy of your ID and receipt.
05 How long does a PR medical check up take?
A PR medical check up at Mediway Medical usually takes about 20 minutes, including key tests such as a chest X-ray, blood tests, and general health checks. Waiting times may vary but are typically around 10 minutes.
06 What medical tests are included in a PR medical check up?
A PR medical check up in Singapore generally includes: Chest X-ray to screen for tuberculosis (TB), and blood tests to check for HIV. These tests, together with general health checks, ensure that the Permanent Resident applicant meets ICA health requirements.
