Mediway Medical Centre Editorial Policy
Last reviewed: 7 May 2026 by Dr. Qiao Yufei, MD MBBS
Mediway Medical Centre publishes educational content for patients, employers and the public in Singapore. This Editorial Policy documents how clinical content on mediwaymedical.com is researched, written, reviewed, updated and corrected, and the standards we apply.
1.Our Purpose
The goal of this site is to help readers understand health conditions, screening choices, vaccinations, statutory medical examinations (such as work permit and student pass medicals), and clinic-based services such as STD testing, GP consultation and imaging.
Important: content on this site is general health information. It is not a diagnosis, treatment, or substitute for in-person consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
2.Authorship
All clinical content on mediwaymedical.com is written by qualified medical professionals or by trained medical writers under direct clinical supervision. Where a page describes a service offered at the clinic, it is reviewed for clinical accuracy before publication.
We do not accept third-party advertising, paid guest posts, sponsored medical articles, paid placements, or affiliate content.
3.Medical Review
Clinical content is reviewed by Dr. Qiao Yufei (MD, MBBS), Lead Physician at Mediway Medical Centre. Dr. Qiao trained at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and the University of Rochester Medical Center, with hospital rotations in Singapore. Languages of practice: English and Chinese (Mandarin).
Every page that contains medical information shows a reviewer line at the top:
Medically reviewed by Dr. Qiao Yufei, MD · MBBS · Last reviewed [date]
The "Last reviewed" date reflects the most recent clinical review of that specific page, not the most recent edit.
4.Sources
Where pages cite specific guidelines, prevalence figures, dosing, or test protocols, the references come from one or more of the following:
- Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) and HealthHub.
- Singapore Health Sciences Authority (HSA) for vaccine and medication regulatory data.
- Singapore Health Promotion Board (HPB) for screening intervals and immunisation schedules.
- Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for statutory examination requirements.
- World Health Organization (WHO) for international health and travel guidance.
- US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for infectious disease and travel medicine.
- Peer-reviewed medical journals indexed in PubMed for specific clinical claims.
Where international and Singapore guidance differ, Singapore-specific guidance takes precedence on this site.
5.Update Cadence
Clinical and service pages are reviewed at least once every 12 months, or sooner when relevant guidance, pricing, statutory requirements, or clinic information changes.
- Clinical service pages are reviewed at least once every 12 months, or sooner if MOH, HSA, or HPB issues a relevant update.
- Statutory examination pages (work permit, employment pass, dependant pass, student pass, PR) are reviewed when MOM or ICA publishes regulatory changes.
- Pricing pages quote prices in SGD and confirm at booking. Page-displayed prices are checked against the current clinic rate sheet at each scheduled review.
- Blog posts are reviewed when content becomes outdated, or readers report inaccuracy.
A "Last reviewed" date appears on every clinical page and reflects the most recent verification by Dr. Qiao Yufei.
6.Corrections Policy
If a reader finds a factual error, an outdated statistic, a broken citation, or a misleading statement, please email enquiry@mediwaymedical.com with the page URL and a description of the issue.
We aim to review correction requests within 14 working days. Confirmed corrections are made as soon as reasonably practicable, and the page's "Last reviewed" date is updated accordingly. Significant corrections (a changed clinical recommendation, corrected dosing, or a removed claim) may be noted at the foot of the affected page.
7.Editorial Independence
Mediway Medical Centre is a private clinic in Singapore. The content on this site is written and reviewed independently of any commercial sponsor or third party. We do not accept payment, products, or services in exchange for clinical content, recommendations, or page placement.
Mediway is a self-pay clinic. Schemes such as CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme) and Healthier SG do not currently apply at Mediway; subsidies, insurance, and corporate-account arrangements are stated on the relevant service pages where applicable.
8.Compliance
All content on this site follows:
- Singapore Healthcare Services Act (HCSA) advertising guidelines: no superlatives, testimonials, comparative claims, or unsupported success rates.
- Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA): patient identifying data is never published on this site. Forms that collect personal data link to our Privacy Policy.
- British English spelling throughout.
