MMR Vaccine in Singapore from $60 per dose
Two doses for full immunity against measles, mumps and rubella. Walk in or book online at Mediway Medical Centre. Same-day vaccination certificate issued.
What is the MMR vaccine?
A combined live attenuated vaccine that protects against three viral infections in a single injection.
The MMR vaccine combines weakened forms of the measles, mumps and rubella viruses to trigger long-lasting immunity. At Mediway, we administer M-M-R II, a vaccine registered with the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore and used worldwide for over 50 years.
We do not stock the MMRV combination vaccine, which adds varicella (chickenpox) and is licensed only for paediatric use in some markets. For adults and most children, two separate doses of MMR provide established protection against all three diseases.
Who should get the MMR vaccine?
Six groups commonly seek MMR vaccination at Mediway. If you are uncertain about your immunity, a serology test can confirm before vaccinating.
Adults catch-up
CommonAdults born after 1970 without documented two-dose vaccination, or with uncertain immunity status, may benefit from catch-up vaccination.
Healthcare & childcare workers
OccupationalHospital staff, clinic staff, preschool and childcare educators commonly require documented MMR immunity for employment.
Women planning pregnancy
Pre-pregnancyRubella infection during pregnancy can cause serious birth defects. Confirming rubella immunity before conception is widely recommended.
Travellers
TravelMeasles outbreaks continue across regional destinations. Documented MMR immunity is sensible before travel to areas with active transmission.
New residents
RelocationNew arrivals in Singapore who lack records, including incoming migrant domestic workers, may require MMR vaccination per current regulations.
Children (NCIS)
PaediatricSingapore’s National Childhood Immunisation Schedule recommends Dose 1 at 12 months and Dose 2 at 18 months of age.

For employers and agencies coordinating MDW vaccinations, please contact us via WhatsApp for batch arrangements.
Already vaccinated? Confirm with serology
If you have documented childhood vaccination or natural infection, a blood test can confirm existing immunity before deciding on a second MMR dose.
Older adults with childhood vaccination history but no record. Women planning pregnancy who are unsure of rubella immunity. New residents asked to provide proof of immunity for employment or schooling. The IgG test ($120) measures antibodies to all three viruses.

Side effects and safety
M-M-R II is HSA-registered and used worldwide. Most people have mild reactions or none at all. Common reactions resolve within one to two days; rare reactions are observed at the clinic during the 15-minute post-vaccination window.
Mild tenderness or redness, resolves within one to two days.
Mild fever may occur five to twelve days after vaccination, typically lasting one to two days.
A transient rash may appear five to twelve days post-vaccination, usually self-limited.
Severe allergic reactions are rare. Our 15-minute post-injection observation is designed to detect and treat any immediate reaction.
Who should not receive MMR
Speak with our GP first if any of the following apply. The MMR vaccine is generally not recommended in these situations.
MMR is not given during pregnancy. Women planning pregnancy should be vaccinated and wait at least four weeks before conceiving.
Includes advanced HIV with low CD4 count, recent chemotherapy, organ transplant on immunosuppressants, or high-dose steroid therapy.
Past anaphylactic reaction to gelatin, neomycin, or a previous dose of MMR vaccine.
Vaccination is usually deferred for three to eleven months after immunoglobulin or transfusion, depending on dose. Bring records to your appointment.
If you are non-immune and have been exposed to a confirmed measles case, MMR given within 72 hours of exposure may reduce the severity of illness. Speak with our doctor as soon as possible.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about MMR vaccination at Mediway. For anything specific to your situation, please speak with our doctor.
01 How much does the MMR vaccine cost in Singapore?
At Mediway, the MMR vaccine is $60 per dose. Two doses are recommended for full immunity, so the typical adult course is $120 across two visits four to eight weeks apart. An optional serology test ($120) is available if you want to confirm existing immunity before vaccinating. All prices are GST-inclusive.
02 Should adults get the MMR vaccine?
Adults born after 1970 without documented two-dose vaccination, or with uncertain immunity status, may benefit from catch-up MMR. This is particularly relevant for healthcare and childcare workers, women planning pregnancy, travellers to areas with active measles transmission, and migrant domestic workers under the MOM regulation effective June 2025.
03 Does the MMR vaccine last for life?
For most people, two documented doses of MMR provide long-lasting protection and a routine booster is not required. If immunity status is uncertain, a measles, mumps and rubella IgG serology test can confirm protection without re-vaccinating unnecessarily.
04 What is the gap between the two doses?
Adults catching up: at least four weeks between Dose 1 and Dose 2; we typically recommend four to eight weeks. Children: per Singapore’s National Childhood Immunisation Schedule, Dose 1 at 12 months and Dose 2 at 18 months. If you have already received Dose 1 elsewhere and are uncertain when Dose 2 is due, bring your record to your appointment.
05 Can I get a vaccination certificate the same day?
Yes. We issue a vaccination certificate after each dose, including the date, vaccine brand (M-M-R II), batch number, and our doctor’s signature. This is accepted by employers, schools, and overseas immigration authorities for documentation purposes.
06 What side effects should I watch for?
Most people have mild or no reactions. Common: sore arm at the injection site, low-grade fever five to twelve days post-vaccine, occasional mild rash. Rare: severe allergic reaction (typically within minutes; observed at the clinic). If you develop high fever, difficulty breathing, or significant swelling, seek medical attention.
07 Can I get MMR while breastfeeding?
Yes. MMR is considered compatible with breastfeeding for women who need to be vaccinated. The viruses in MMR do not pose a risk to nursing infants. Pregnancy is the relevant restriction, not breastfeeding.
08 We employ a migrant domestic worker. What does the MOM rule require?
From June 2025, the Ministry of Manpower requires evidence of measles immunity for incoming MDWs from selected countries. Acceptable evidence includes a documented two-dose MMR record, a positive measles IgG serology result, or completion of MMR vaccination at a Singapore GP clinic. Mediway provides MDW MMR vaccination with same-day certification.
