Specific vaccine pricing: Pricing for each vaccine depends on the product (brand, generic) and current availability. Ask at consultation for current rates. Mediway follows MOH-recommended pricing transparency. We quote before administration.
GP consultation at Mediway: $38 first visit. Follow-up consultations for same-issue review included. For standalone vaccines at walk-in (e.g. routine flu shot), the consultation fee may be waived. Ask at reception.
Your vaccination visit: what to expect
Consult & screen
GP consultation reviews your vaccination history, checks for contraindications (allergies, pregnancy, immune status), and confirms the right vaccine.
Administration
Vaccine administered on-site, usually in the same visit. Takes 5-10 minutes. Most vaccines are intramuscular injection in the upper arm.
NIR auto-upload
Vaccination is automatically uploaded to the National Immunisation Registry (NIR) within 24-48 hours. Your record appears on HealthHub app and HealthHub.sg.
Follow-up
For multi-dose schedules (HPV, Hep B, Shingrix, Hep A), we schedule the next dose and send reminders. You return for subsequent doses as planned.
After vaccination: Mild soreness, redness, or low-grade fever for 1-2 days is common and expected. Severe reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention. We observe you for 15 minutes after administration of certain vaccines.
Frequently asked questions
01 How much do vaccinations cost at Mediway?
GP consultation is $38 for the first visit. Vaccine prices vary depending on the vaccine type, dose schedule, and brand. For standalone walk-in vaccines, such as routine flu shots, the consultation fee may be waived. Please contact us or see our individual vaccine pages for specific prices, or check at reception before administration.
02 Do I need a GP consultation before vaccination?
Yes. A GP consultation ($38 first visit) assesses your vaccination history, checks for contraindications, and recommends the appropriate vaccine. For straightforward vaccines, such as flu shots or scheduled boosters, the consultation and administration may happen in a single visit. Some standalone walk-in vaccines may have the consultation fee waived. Please ask at reception.
03 Can I walk in for a vaccine?
Yes. Walk-ins are accepted during clinic hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-6pm and Sat 7:30am-1pm. For straightforward vaccines such as the seasonal flu shot, vaccination may be administered in a single visit, subject to suitability and vaccine availability. For multi-dose schedules, such as Hepatitis B, HPV, or travel vaccines, an initial consultation helps plan the dose schedule.
04 What are common side effects of vaccines?
Most people experience mild and short-lasting side effects, such as soreness at the injection site, low-grade fever, mild muscle aches, or fatigue for 1-2 days. Severe reactions are rare but can occur. Inform the doctor before vaccination if you have allergies, immune conditions, or previous vaccine reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe symptoms after vaccination.
05 Does Mediway upload vaccinations to the National Immunisation Registry (NIR)?
Vaccinations administered at Mediway are submitted to the National Immunisation Registry where applicable. They should become visible on HealthHub after processing. You can view your vaccination records via the HealthHub app or HealthHub.sg.
06 Is it safe to vaccinate during pregnancy?
Some vaccines may be recommended during pregnancy, such as influenza and Tdap, while others are usually avoided unless clinically essential. Live vaccines, such as MMR and varicella, are generally not given during pregnancy. Always inform the doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, so the vaccination plan can be reviewed appropriately. Pre-conception vaccination planning is part of our premarital screening service.
07 What if I have missed childhood or adult vaccines?
Catch-up vaccination is possible for both children and adults. The doctor will review your immunisation history, such as HealthHub or paper records, and recommend a catch-up schedule based on age, missed doses, and current MOH guidance. Some vaccines require multiple doses spaced over weeks or months, so plan ahead.
08 How far in advance should I plan travel vaccines?
Ideally, plan travel vaccines 4-6 weeks before travel. Some vaccines need multiple doses over several weeks, while others need time to reach full effectiveness. Last-minute travel vaccinations may still be possible, but planning ahead gives more time to complete the appropriate schedule. Book a travel vaccination consultation to plan your timing.
