How much does a fertility test cost in Singapore?

Results in 3-5 days. Consultation is optional, $38 per consult — book a pre-test consult, a post-results consult, or both (each billed separately). Optional AMH add-on: $100. All prices are GST-inclusive.
What a fertility test covers
A structured panel of hormone and physical assessments to help you understand the factors that can affect your ability to conceive, suitable for individuals exploring their fertility, couples planning a pregnancy, and anyone preparing for pre-conception health screening.
For women, the panel focuses on reproductive hormones that regulate ovulation and ovarian function: FSH, LH, Estradiol (E2), Prolactin, Progesterone, and Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), alongside thyroid markers (TSH, Free T4), since thyroid function directly affects menstrual regularity and ovulation. Our optional AMH add-on provides additional insight into ovarian reserve.
For men, the panel centres on seminal analysis (sperm concentration, motility, and morphology) alongside reproductive hormones: FSH, LH, Testosterone, Prolactin, Estradiol, and SHBG. Thyroid function is included, as thyroid imbalance can affect sperm production.
For couples, both partners are tested individually. Results are reviewed together at a joint follow-up, so you receive a combined picture rather than two disconnected reports.
A fertility test is an assessment of contributing factors. It does not predict pregnancy outcomes. Results can identify hormone imbalances, sperm-parameter concerns, or markers worth investigating further, but cannot guarantee or rule out your ability to conceive.

Blossom vs Blossom+: which one?
Both packages include the same fertility hormone panel. The difference is what Blossom+ adds around it: a full pre-conception screen.
Blossom Hormone panel
Choose Blossom if:
- You want to understand your fertility hormones and (men) sperm parameters
- You have already had a recent general health screen
- You are in early exploration, not yet actively trying to conceive
- Budget-conscious entry into fertility testing
Blossom+ Fertility + pre-conception
Choose Blossom+ if:
- You are actively planning to conceive within 12 months
- You want a single comprehensive pre-conception health screen
- You have not had recent hepatitis, thalassemia, or STD testing
- You are planning marriage or pre-marital medical screening
- (Women) you want rubella immunity confirmed before pregnancy
Blossom+ covers infections that can affect pregnancy (hepatitis, HIV, syphilis), genetic carrier status for thalassemia (important in Southeast Asian populations), and (for women) rubella immunity. Rubella during pregnancy can cause serious fetal harm, and Singapore MOH recommends confirming immunity before conception. For couples planning a family within the next year, Blossom+ is typically the more practical choice. It consolidates fertility testing and pre-conception screening into one visit instead of two.
Want pre-conception screening without fertility hormones? Our Premarital Screening (Eternity packages) covers hepatitis, thalassemia, STD, blood group, and rubella immunity, from $130 for men, $150 for women. Cheaper than Blossom+ if you do not need the fertility hormone panel. Note: Eternity+ at $290 covers the same scope as Blossom+ at $290. Pick whichever matches your intent; you do not need both.

AMH add-on: assessing ovarian reserve
Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) reflects the quantity of eggs remaining in the ovaries, the most informative blood marker for ovarian reserve. Unlike FSH (included in Blossom), AMH can be measured on any day of the cycle and gives a more stable long-term picture.
When to consider AMH
- Age 35 or older and planning a family in the next few years
- Irregular cycles or suspected early menopause
- Family history of early menopause or premature ovarian insufficiency
- Considering egg freezing: AMH informs baseline planning
- Previous ovarian surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation
- Diagnosed with PCOS (AMH is often elevated, confirming the pattern)
What AMH can and cannot tell you
Can: estimate egg quantity, flag accelerated decline, support egg-freezing decisions.
Cannot: predict egg quality, predict pregnancy success, or replace a clinical fertility assessment.

For couples: how testing works
Couples fertility screening at Mediway is straightforward. Both partners book their own package, we test on the same visit where possible, and results are reviewed together at a joint follow-up appointment.
Book individually
Each partner selects a package. Most couples choose matching tiers: both Blossom ($380 combined) or both Blossom+ ($580 combined). Common upsell for women: AMH add-on ($100), especially age 35+.
Same-day visit
Arrive together. Blood draws and seminal analysis completed same day. Cycle-phase timing for women is advised at booking. Each partner may add an optional consultation — $38 per consult, pre-test and/or post-results (each billed separately). To book a consult, WhatsApp admin 8652 6888.
Results in 3-5 days
Both sets of results return in parallel. You are notified when both are ready.
Joint follow-up
Review both partners' results together with the doctor. Fertility is a couple's picture. Joint review is included at no extra cost when both partners test at Mediway.
Who should book couples testing: couples trying to conceive for 6-12 months without success (12+ months if under 35, 6+ months if 35 or older); couples planning to start a family within the year; couples where one partner has a known condition (PCOS, endometriosis, previous testicular issues, prior pregnancy loss); pre-marital couples preparing for family planning.

When should you get a fertility test?
A fertility test can be valuable whether you are actively trying to conceive or planning ahead.
A fertility test does not diagnose infertility. Infertility is defined clinically after 12 months (or 6 months for women 35+) of regular unprotected intercourse without conception. Testing before that window is assessment: understanding contributing factors earlier, not waiting for a problem to crystallise.
What your results mean
Results fall into three broad categories. The doctor will walk you through your specific markers at the result-review visit.
Normal range
All hormone markers within reference range, semen parameters within WHO benchmarks, pre-conception screens clear. This does not guarantee fertility. It indicates no identifiable hormonal or parameter concern at the time of testing. Lifestyle, timing, and couple-level interactions still matter. We discuss optimisation and (if relevant) when to consider repeat testing.
Borderline / mildly abnormal
One or two markers slightly outside reference range: for example, mildly elevated prolactin, sub-optimal AMH for age, or semen parameters near the lower reference limit. We typically recommend lifestyle adjustments, repeat testing in 3-6 months, or targeted follow-up investigations.
Abnormal / clinically significant
Clearly abnormal results warrant specialist follow-up. Mediway is a GP clinic. Fertility treatment (IVF, IUI, advanced reproductive procedures) is referred to a gynaecologist, fertility specialist, or andrology clinic as appropriate. We provide a clear summary of findings for the specialist, so you do not have to start over.
We do not offer: IVF, IUI, ovulation induction, egg/sperm freezing storage, or advanced fertility treatments. These require a specialist fertility clinic. Our role is assessment, baseline testing, and connecting you to the right specialist efficiently. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Frequently asked questions
01 What is a fertility test, and what does it check?
A fertility test is a set of blood and (for men) semen tests that look at hormone levels and, for men, semen parameters that may affect the chance of conceiving. For women, it usually includes hormones such as FSH, LH, Estradiol, Prolactin, SHBG, and Progesterone, with optional AMH for ovarian reserve. For men, it typically includes Testosterone, FSH, LH, Prolactin, SHBG, and a semen analysis. A fertility test does not guarantee future pregnancy; it gives information about reproductive health that helps your doctor advise on next steps.
02 How much does a fertility test cost in Singapore?
At Mediway, Blossom (fertility hormone panel) is $180 for women and $200 for men. Blossom+ (fertility plus pre-conception screen) is $290 for either. Optional AMH add-on is $100. Consultation is optional and not required for testing — book the test online. Each consult is $38 (pre-test or post-results), billed separately — you can choose one or both; to book a consult, WhatsApp admin 8652 6888. There is no couples bundle discount, but if both partners test at Mediway, a joint result review can be arranged. All prices are GST-inclusive. Private insurance coverage varies; we provide itemised receipts for submission.
03 What is the difference between Blossom and Blossom+?
Both include the same fertility hormone panel. Blossom+ adds pre-conception screening: urine, hepatitis, full blood count, blood group, thalassaemia, STI/STD screening, and (for women) rubella immunity. Choose Blossom+ if you are planning to conceive within a year and have not had recent pre-conception screening.
04 Should I add AMH testing?
Consider discussing AMH testing with a doctor if you are 35 or older, have irregular cycles, are considering egg freezing, or have a family history of early menopause. AMH can be measured at any point in the menstrual cycle. It gives information about ovarian reserve, but it does not predict pregnancy chances by itself.
05 Should men also get a fertility test? What does it include?
Yes. Male factors can contribute to fertility difficulties, so testing both partners can give a more complete picture. A male fertility test usually includes hormone blood tests (Testosterone, FSH, LH, Prolactin, SHBG) and a semen analysis that looks at sperm count, motility, morphology, and volume. Lifestyle factors, recent illness, medications, and abstinence period can affect results. Your doctor will advise on collection instructions and how to interpret the report.
06 When should I consider a fertility test?
There is no fixed age, but fertility testing is often considered earlier in the following situations: women under 35 trying to conceive for 12 months without success, women aged 35 or older trying for 6 months without success, irregular or absent periods, known reproductive conditions (such as endometriosis or PCOS), prior pelvic surgery or chemotherapy, or planning ahead (for example, considering egg freezing). Men experiencing difficulty conceiving, low libido, or testicular concerns may also benefit from a fertility test. Earlier review can help identify treatable factors sooner.
07 When in my cycle should I test?
Some hormones (FSH, LH, Estradiol) are ideally measured on days 2 to 5 of your cycle for the most interpretable baseline. Progesterone is usually measured around 7 days before your next expected period, often called "day 21" in a 28-day cycle. AMH can be measured at any time. We advise during the consultation. Your results are most useful when timed correctly.
08 Do I need to fast before a fertility test?
Most fertility blood markers (FSH, LH, Estradiol, Prolactin, Testosterone, AMH) do not require fasting. If additional health-screening tests are included, fasting instructions may differ. Semen analysis does not require fasting, but you may be given separate collection instructions such as an abstinence period before the sample. Confirm during consultation.
09 What happens if my fertility test results are abnormal?
Borderline results (mildly elevated prolactin, AMH level lower than expected for age, semen parameters near the lower reference limit) may prompt lifestyle advice, repeat testing, or further evaluation depending on the marker and your history. Clearly abnormal results may be referred to a gynaecologist, fertility specialist, or andrology clinic as appropriate. We provide a clear summary so your specialist has a clear starting point for further evaluation.
10 Is fertility testing confidential?
Your medical records and results are handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and medical confidentiality standards. Fertility results are not shared with a partner or third party without appropriate consent, except where required or permitted by law. For joint reviews, both partners should consent to discussing results together.
