When Is a 6ME, FDW, or Maid Medical Check Up Required?
The 6-Monthly Medical Examination (6ME) is a routine screening for Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs), Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs), and selected Work Pass holders in Singapore. A 6ME medical check up is required by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to ensure workers meet ongoing employment health requirements.
6-Monthly Examination (6ME)
MDWs and selected Work Pass holders requiring a routine medical screening every six months.
Work Pass Renewals
Workers requiring a mandatory medical check up before their current pass expires.
Follow-Up Medical Review
Required if further medical review is needed based on previous results.

You can walk in for a 6ME medical check up without an appointment, although waiting times may vary depending on the crowd. Typically, the wait is around 10 minutes. We have slots available during our operating hours: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays and 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. The 6ME medical check up typically takes around 20 minutes. It may include tests such as a chest X-ray, blood tests for HIV and syphilis, a pregnancy test, and a general health assessment. Waiting times may vary, but are generally around 10 minutes.

06How long does it take to get the 6ME medical check up results?
Standard 6ME medical reports are available by 4 PM on the next working day. Same-day reports are available by 4 PM if you visit before 9 AM on weekdays (additional charges apply). For the expected collection date, please refer to the receipt. You can also receive your 6ME medical report via Email or WhatsApp for added convenience.
07Can someone else collect my 6ME medical report on behalf?
Yes, someone can collect your 6ME medical report on your behalf during our opening hours. They will need to provide a soft copy of your ID and receipt to complete the collection.
