Work Permit Medical Check-Up

 For semi skilled foreign workers to be allowed to work in certain sectors, a medical checkup is required to check if one’s fit for the applied post. However, the criteria of the medical fitness may differ from job to job that one has applied for.

The Complete Medical Examination Process To Apply For A Work Permit

1.Registration

The work permit foreign worker’s Passport along with the In-Principle Approval Form and Medical Form needs to be presented and either cash payment or nets-payment from the work permit foreign worker will need to be paid. The work permit foreign worker can then wait while until the registration process is completed.

The work permit foreign worker will then be registered in the clinic system and the front desk would get the print out the work permit foreign worker’s receipt and name labels.

The In-principle approval form and passport will then be returned to the work permit foreign worker along with the official receipt and name labels. Thereafter, the work permit foreign worker will be taken to the Measurements Station and will be attended by a nurse.

2.Measurements

The medical check requirements of the work permit foreign worker which will differ depending on the pass one is applying for will be checked by a nurse at the clinic with a series of measurement tests such as to check one’s height, weight, blood pressure, eyesight accuracy and one’s urine for pregnancy (Females only), sugar and albumin levels (male and female).

For work permit foreign worker falls within the category of “Driver”, “Electrician” or a similar job that requires one to differentiate colours, a colour vision test would be conducted wherein one has to identify various images correctly to pass this particular test. If one fails this test, one’s medical check for this particular job would fail completely and there would be no need to proceed further to the other tests.

After the measurements have been taken, it will be time for the work permit foreign worker to answer a series of questions pertaining to one’s medical history and thereafter, the declaration portion of the medical form will be signed. Also, the work permit foreign worker record form of the clinic wherein all the measurement records have been recorded will need to be signed by the work permit foreign worker.

During this whole measurement process, our full time doctor will be doing physical examinations on every work permit foreign worker and also to supervise his nurses when they carry out the measurement tests to ensure quality assurance. Once all the measurements are taken and the medical forms signed by the work permit foreign worker, the work permit foreign worker will then proceed to take their chest x-ray. The work permit foreign worker will also be passed a tube or a couple of tubes for their blood test.

The entire process of measurement would be conducted by nurses under the supervision of qualified doctors to ensure quality assurance. After the nurse has taken all the measurement and the medical forms have been signed by the Work permit foreign worker, he will then be taken for the chest X Ray and blood tests.

3.X-Ray Imaging

At the X-Ray Imaging station, the work permit foreign worker to remove his shirt inside the x-ray room and the work permit foreign worker will be positioned properly by the radiographer for the x-ray image to be taken.

 

For female work permit foreign workers, one would need to remove her top (including her bra) and to change into our x-ray gown inside the female changing room. After she wears the x-ray gown, the radiographer will position her inside the x-ray room and take the X Ray image.

The work permit foreign worker to hold their breath upon the instruction of the radiographer and have their lungs filled with air for an accurate chest x-ray imaging.

Normally, the process doesn’t really take much time and after the X ray imaging is completed, the work permit foreign worker can wear one’s clothes back and proceed to the final step of blood test at the blood taking station.

4.Blood Taking

Testing for HIV, VDRL, Malaria Parasite or any other required blood test will need blood samples drawn from the work permit foreign worker at the blood taking station. For standard tests such as HIV, VDRL or Malaria Parasite, only 1 tube of blood will be drawn. Most importantly, our very experienced nurse and certified phlebotomist trainer would conduct the process which is why you can expect it to be painless. If only one has very weak blood flow or extremely tiny veins, the process may take more than normal time.

A plaster will be placed after the blood is drawn which the work permit foreign worker will need will to apply a little pressure for about 5 minutes before the plaster could be removed. Thereafter, the work permit foreign worker would be allowed to leave the clinic.

FDW Work Permit Medical

Foreign Domestic Worker Work Permit Medical Check-Up

 

Workers from various countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Philippines can work in households as a domestic helper or maid only if they have proper the Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) work permit.

The FDW will have to get a complete medical examination done and should be certifiably fit in order to work in the household.

1.Registration

It is necessary to present the passport of domestic helper/maid with the In Principle Approval Form and Medical Form.  After this maid will have to make the payment in either cash, cheque or trough net transfers.  The registration process may take a while hence; the maid shall be asked to wait till the process is completed.

After the registration the front desk staff will go ahead to register the maid in the clinic system and print receipts and labels for maid. The In Principal Form and passport will be returned after the completion of this procedure. The official receipt and name labels will be given to the maid. After this the maid will move on to the measurement station where a nurse will begin the next procedure.

2.Measurements

At the FDW station nurse will check the medical check requirements of the FDW which is different depending upon the pass the maid applies for.  The FDW will be asked to give various measurements and tests such as height, weight, blood pressure, urine for pregnancy test, eyesight acuity, and sugar and albumin levels.

If a Foreign domestic worker is 50 years and above then she will be asked to undertake an Electrocardiogram test commonly known as ECG to check the heart condition. Based on the reports of ECG doctors will decide whether the maid has a healthy cardiac condition.

After the measurements are done, the maid will be asked several questions pertaining to her medical history post which she will be asked to sign a declaration on her medical form. A signature on the FDW record form will also be taken. The record form contains all the details of measurements & amp; if any at the time of medical check.

Our full time doctor will be doing physical examination of the maid in the entire measurement process and will also supervise the nurses during the measurement process in order to ensure quality assurance.  After all the measurements are taken medical forms are signed by the FDW, the FDW will now move ahead to take the chest x-ray.  The maid will also be asked to do a couple blood tests.

3,X-Ray Imaging

The radiographer at x ray imaging station will ask the maid to remove her top clothes including her lingerie and wear the x ray gown in the female changing room.  After the change of clothes the radiographer will take the maid inside the x ray room for the X- ray image.

In the x ray room the radiographer will ask foreign domestic worker to hold her breath when he signals. For the chest x ray image, it is important that lungs are filled with air as it helps in accurate assessment of the chest and gives clearer image.

The x ray process only takes couple of seconds after this process foreign domestic worker can wear the clothes and proceed toward blood taking station to give their blood samples.

4.Blood Taking

This is the final station where foreign domestic worker will give their blood samples for HIV, VDRL, Malaria parasite or other required blood tests.  In case only standard tests are required like HIV, Malaria parasite or VDRL only one tube of blood will be taken from the maid. The blood samples are collected by certified phlebotomist and well experienced nurses.  This process is every simple, painless and takes only few minutes. But if the maid has a weak blood flow or extremely tiny veins this process may take a little longer to get complete.

After collecting blood samples, a plaster is placed on the blood drawn area by the nurse.  The maid will be asked to apply little pressure on the blood drawn point for approx. 5 minutes before the removal of plaster.  After the completion of whole medical check-up process foreign domestic worker can now leave the clinic.

Employment Pass Medical

Apart from the minimum earning of $3,600 per month and the required minimum qualifications, it is also mandatory for foreign professionals, managers and executives to be certified as medically fit to get an employment pass for the work one has applied for which will of course, need one to undergo a medical check up for employment pass. However, one must bear in mind that different jobs have different fitness criteria.

The Full Medical Examination Process To Apply For A Employment Pass

1.Registration

A candidate applying for an Employment Pass would need to produce one’s Passport along with the In Principle Approval form and Medical form. One would then need to make the payment either in cash or by nets. Thereafter, the candidate would be asked to wait until the registration process in completed.

The employment pass holder will then be registered in the clinic system by the front desk. The holder’s name labels and receipt will be printed and pass on to the holder. The In principle approval form and passport will then be returned back to the employment pass holder. Thereafter, the Employment Pass holder will be directed to the Measurement Station wherein everything will be taken care of by a nurse.

2.Measurements

At the measurements station, the employment pass holder will undergo a physical check up wherein a nurse will check if the employment pass holder meets all the medical requirements. However, the medical requirements may vary from job to job.

If employments pass holder falls under the category of a Driver or Electrician, one will have to undergo a color vision test wherein one has to correctly identify various images in order to pass the test. In case, one fails, one would be taken as medically unfit for the job and one would not need to proceed to the next tests.

After all the physical check and measurements have been done, the employment pass holder record will need to be signed by the employment pass holder wherein all the details of measurements and medical condition will be mentioned. In case a pass holder is a female, one needs to declare first whether or not one is pregnant as X ray cannot performed on someone who’s pregnant as it may have some adverse health effect.

Our doctors will do a physical test during the measurement process of each employment pass holder along with his nurses, so the quality of measurement is never down. Once, the test is completed and the employment pass holder has signed the medical forms, they will proceed with chest x-ray and also, they would pass the employment pass holder through a tube for HIV blood test.

3.X-Ray Imaging

In this step, the radiographer, at the X-Ray Imaging station, will take the X-Ray image of the employment pass holder for which the employment pass holder would need to remove his shirt in the X-Ray room.

Even a female employment pass holder would need to remove her top including her bra for the X-Ray imaging. However, she can change her clothes and put on the X-Ray gown in the female changing room. After, she puts on the X-Ray gown; the radiographer will position her properly in the X-Ray room to get the X-Ray imaging done.

Once the employment pass holder is positioned properly in the X-Ray room, one will then be instructed to hold one’s breath and have their lungs filled with air for the most accurate X-Ray imaging. The process doesn’t take much time and it’s only a matter of a couple of seconds. Thereafter, a employment pass holder can wear one’s clothes back and proceed to the final step which is Blood test.

4.Blood Taking

In the final step wherein the blood samples would be taken from the employment pass holder to check for HIV. The process would be conducted by experienced nurse and certified phlebotomist which is you can rest assured of a painless and fast process except for a few cases wherein an employment pass holder has a very weak flow of blood or tiny veins.

Once the blood sample is taken, the nurse will put a plaster on the area from which blood has been taken and the Employment pass holder will need to apply a little pressure on that area for about 5 minutes before he could remove it. Thereafter, he can conveniently leave the clinic.

 

S Pass Medical

S Pass Medical Check-Up

In order to meet the assessment procedure for the mid level skilled staffs, there needs to be an earning at least $2,200 per month by the candidate.

A medical examination is necessary for the S Pass foreign worker. The candidate should be certified to be fit for the profession applied by him/her. The requirements for medical examination differ on the basis of the applied post.

The Process of Full Medical Examination To Apply For A S Pass

1.Registration

The Principle Approval Form and Medical Form should be accompanied by the Passport of the S Pass holder. Regarding its payment, it needs to be done through online or cash.  While processing the registration the S Pass holder would need to wait for some time.

The S Pass holder’s receipt and name label would get printed by the front desk staff.  The In principle approval form and passport would be returned back to the S Pass holder. The S Pass holder would be directed to The Measurements Station where a nurse would take over.

2.Measurements

At the Measurements Station, the medical requirements of the S Pass holder would be checked by the nurse on the basis of the pass that has been applied for. The doctor or nurse would carry out a physical check of him/her.

A colour vision test is mandatory for S Pass holders that fall under the category of “Electrician”, “Driver”, etc. There would be picture cards where the images need to be identified in a correct manner in order to pass this test. In case they do not pass this test, it would not be possible for him/her to proceed to other remaining tests.  However within a gap of 3 months, they can opt for the blood test and and x-ray results. Here in this case, application for the same post would not be processed.

The S Pass holder record form needs to be signed which would be kept in the clinic after the physical test is taken. It can be mentioned, that all records of the S Pass holder like medical conditions, measurements details would be included in the form. In case of females, declaration should be made whether she is pregnant for which no X Ray would be performed for them.

In order to ensure quality assurance, different measurement tests would be carried out by our full time doctors to all the S Pass holders.  After this step gets over, a chest X Ray would be done followed by HIV blood test.

 

X-Ray Imaging

Here the S Pass holder would require to remove his shirt and then asked to position in a proper manner so that the X Ray images could be taken in a perfect manner.  In case of females, X Ray gown are provided to them where they need to wear in the female changing room.

The S Pass holder would be instructed to hold their breath so that the X Ray images could be taken for accurate result

After this procedure gets over, getting ready for the final stage is required which is the blood taking station after wearing their clothes

4.Blood Taking

HIV blood test is the final stage where the S Pass holder would require to go through it. Our certified phlebotomist trainer and experienced nurse would carry out the procedure. It proves to be a painless experience that takes less than a minute.

Once blood is drawn, the plaster would be removed after a gap of 5 minutes. So, this ends the entire medical check-up process where the S Pass holder can then leave the clinic.

Dependant Pass Medical

For spouses and children of eligible Employment Pass or Dependant pass holders.

The Dependant pass holder has to undergo a medical examination and be certified fit to reside in Singapore.

The Full Medical Examination Process To Apply For A Dependant Pass

1. Registration

The dependant pass holder’s Passport will need to be presented together with the In Principle Approval Form and Medical Form. Payment will then need to be paid in either cash or by nets from the dependant pass holder. The dependant pass holder will then be asked to take a seat while waiting for his/her registration process to be complete.

The front desk staff will then proceed to register the dependant pass holder in the clinic system and print out the dependant pass holder’s receipt and name labels. The front desk staff will then return the In principle approval form and passport to the dependant pass holder. The staff will also pass the official receipt and name labels to the dependant pass holder. The front desk staff will then direct the dependant pass holder to the Measurements Station where a nurse will take over.

2. Measurements

Once the dependant pass holder is at the measurements station, the nurse will check the medical check requirements of the dependant pass holder which will differ depending on the pass he/she is applying for. The dependant pass holder will then undergo a physical check from the doctor or nurse (with doctor supervising).

Once the physical check and/or measurements are taken, the dependant pass holder will be asked to sign on our dependant pass holder record form which is kept by the clinic, the dependant pass holder’s record form will have details on all measurements & medical condition if any of the dependant pass holder at the time of the medical check. For females, the pass holder needs to declare whether she is pregnant or not because if she is pregnant, she will not be able to get her x-ray done until she is no longer pregnant.

During this whole measurement process, our full time doctor will be doing physical examinations on every dependant pass holderand/or to supervise his nurses either when they carry out the measurement tests to ensure quality assurance. Once all the measurements are taken and the medical forms signed by the dependant pass holder, the dependant pass holder will then proceed to take their chest x-ray. The dependant pass holder will also be passed a tube for their HIV blood test.

3. X-Ray Imaging

At the X-Ray Imaging station, the radiographer will then proceed to ask the dependant pass holder to remove his shirt inside the x-ray room and the dependant pass holder will be positioned properly for the x-ray image to be taken.

If the dependant pass holder is a female, she will be asked to remove her top (including her bra) and to change into our x-ray gown inside the female changing room. Once she is wearing the x-ray gown, the radiographer will proceed to position her inside the x-ray room for the image to be taken.

The radiographer will then inform the dependant pass holder to hold their breath upon instruction before taking their image as the dependant pass holder is required to have their lungs filled with air for their chest x-ray image to be correctly taken for an accurate assessment.

This process of taking the image only takes a couple of seconds after which the dependant pass holder can then wear back their top and proceed to the final station being the blood taking station.

4. Blood Taking

The final station is where the dependant pass holder will have their blood drawn to test for HIV. This blood taking will be done by our very experienced nurse and certified phlebotomist trainer of over 20 years. The process will take less than a minute and is quite a painless experience. But of course there are dependant pass holders who have a very weak blood flow or extremely tiny veins and thus the process may take a few minutes longer.

After the blood is drawn, the nurse will place a plaster on the blood drawn area, the dependant pass holder will then need to apply a little pressure on that point for about 5 minutes before removing the plaster. The dependant pass holder after completing the whole medical check-up process can proceed to leave the clinic.

Long Term Visit Pass Medical

Long Term Visit Pass Medical Check-Up

It is meant for Eligible employments pass or S Pass holders’ parents, common law spouses, step children or handicapped children.

If Long Term Pass is required, then you must possess a certificate to reside in Singapore and must clear a medical examination to be declared as fit to reside in Singapore.

The procedure for medical examination to obtain the long term visit pass is as follows:

1.Registration

The long run visit pass holder’s Passport can have to be compelled to be bestowed with the Principle Approval Form and medical form. Payment can then have to be compelled to be paid in either money or by nets from the long run visit pass holder. The long run visit pass holder can then be asked to require a seat whereas looking ahead to his/her registration method to be completed.

The long term visit pass holder will be registered by the front desk staff in the clinic system. 2.Measurements

The long term visit pass holder’s medical requirements will be checked by the nurse. This check up is based on the type of pass he/she is applying for. The doctor or nurse will then conduct a physical check on the long term visit pass holder.

The long term visit pass holder record will be signed by the pass holder after the completion of physical check. The record which is kept at the clinic contains the details of all measurements and amp. The pass holder for females will have the notice of her pregnancy. If she is pregnant then she won’t undergo the x-ray.

There will be a full time doctor and/or nurse to supervise the whole measurement process and measurement tests to maintain the quality. Next procedure is the chest x-ray. This is done after all the measurements are done and the pass holder has already signed the medical forms. A tube will be passed into the long term visit pass holder or their HIV blood test.

3.X-Ray Imaging

At the X-Ray Imaging station, the specialist can then proceed to raise the long term visit pass holder to take off his shirt within the x-ray space and therefore the long term visit pass holder are going to be positioned properly for the x-ray image to be taken.

If the long run visit pass holder is a female, she’s going to be asked to get rid of her top (including her bra) and to alter into our x-ray robe within the feminine dynamical area. The long term visit pass holder will have their blood drawn to examine for HIV. This can be the ultimate station and is performed by our expert nurse and approved phlebotomist trainer who have expertise of over twenty years. The tactic will take a flash and is kind of a simple experience.
